Terms and Conditions
- Our quotation is fixed for 3 months. Should the work proceed after this date, our offer will be subject to review.
- Our terms are 25% deposit prior to commencement and payment of the balance within 14 days of completion.
- If full payment is not made within our terms, collection will be passed to our third party debt recovery specialists where a charge of 15% plus vat will be incurred on the unpaid amount. Additionally, Statutory Interest will also be applied to the unpaid amount.
- Unless stated to the contrary, our price is based on the programme giving us continuity of work for the full scope of our quotation. Should the client require the works to be carried out in stages, we reserve the right to receive stage payments and to make a charge for each additional visit.
- It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure that all preparation works are complete prior to our tradesmen arriving, and that clear and safe access is available together with required lighting, power, water and protection to surrounding areas, finishes and goods.
- All concealed services must be clearly marked. No responsibility can be taken for damage to services not marked. It is the responsibility of our customer to ensure that all electrical circuits and installations within the area of our works are safe and in good order before we commence on site.
- To ensure that ponding water above 10mm does not occur, it is imperative that a flood test is carried out by Main Contractor and signed off by Capital Waterproofing, prior to installation of the Cavity Membrane.
- Pump installations are not covered by our guarantees and are subject to manufacturer’s warranty period and conditions only. The client is responsible for taking out any maintenance agreement on the pump.
- If a guarantee is being issued, then Capital Waterproofing do not accept any retention terms held against our work. The Guarantee Certificates are issued and valid only on receipt of payment of the full amount due including all retention monies. Retention may be held for the duration of Capital Waterproofing works, but this is to be released in full before any guarantees will be issued.
- Capital Waterproofing Ltd will offer the SBG back up insurance guarantee, which will be issued if the fee is paid by the client. See estimate. Upon completion of the works and settlement of the account, Capital Waterproofing Ltd will forward the guarantee insurance documents to the SBG, who will process them and submit them back to Capital Waterproofing Ltd for forwarding on to the client, which could take up to three weeks from receipt of payment.
- Our works will be carried out strictly in accordance with the specified manufacturer’s instructions unless otherwise stated. If we are unable to carry out works due to inclement weather, in particular if the temperature falls, or is in danger of falling below 5ºC, then we will require additional time in order to carry out works in accordance with the manufacturer’s recommendations.
- No responsibility will be accepted by this company for the standard of works undertaken by others. It is a condition precedent to any order that our client ensures that our recommendations are implemented.
- Please note all waterproof render/cavity drain membranes are not to be drilled/punctured. Please contact our Contracts Manager/Surveyor for advice on any potential fixings.
- All works are to be carried out during normal working hours, Monday to Friday with no restrictions.
- Main Contractor to provide secure storage area for our plant and material.
- Main Contractor to provide facilities for the disposal of our waste.
- Capital Waterproofing Ltd maintain liability insurance cover with a reputable Insurer and as standard our quotation includes provision of the following cover. Employers Liability limit £10,000,000 any one event but £10,000,000 any one event in respect of injury or disease occurring offshore. Our Policy fully complies with Employers Liability Compulsory Insurances Acts. Public and Product Liability limit £5,000,000 any one accident/unlimited but an aggregate limit for Products Liability. Professional Indemnity limit £2,000,000 in the aggregate relating to all Damp Proofing and Structural Waterproofing, Specialist Floor Screeds, Coatings, Renders and Pressure Grouting.
